This scene was created after my journey along the Leslie Karamea Track in the Kahurangi National Park. Stretching over 91 kilometres through remote terrain, the track demands endurance, time, and commitment.
I began at Wangapeka. Six days later, I reached Flora Carpark — exhausted, yet deeply fulfilled.
The experience of that path stayed with me and over the following three months, I returned to it again and again at the easel, allowing the landscape to emerge once more.
